Product Development Manager

Overview:
Provide leadership for the efficient and effective development of commercial business application for sale by the organization. The incumbent would manage the overall product development process from concept to commercialization. This involves coordinating efforts between the business managers, customers, technical writers, analysts, designers, developers and testers to achieve desire goals.

Vice President IT

Work Location:
Lahore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct teams of analysts, architects and developers to design and construct commercial software products.
  • Direct development of complex application features and technical designs.
  • Work closely with Business managers, Sales and Product management teams to identify and prioritize product features.
  • Foster continuous process improvement for practice by collaborating with industry representatives, Suppliers, Colleagues and other internal functional teams.

Key Performance Requirements:

  • Be able to draw extensively on experience to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability and skill to perform a variety of tasks with numerous projects in differing stages of development from requirements to release.
  • Ability to manage staff resource allocation and to develop and train staff through effective career planning.

Experience:
At least 8 years of business Software Development experience and 5 years of Project Management experience

Educational/Professional Qualification
Masters / bachelors degree in CS, IT or Business Administration.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong development methodology skills and exposure to common toolsets for object oriented design, development and testing.
  • Experience in business solutions, particularly CRM Applications.
  • Required knowledge of and experience with current technologies including Microsoft .Net framework, c#, ASP, ASP .Net, Microsoft SQL     Server, Microsoft Biz Talk, XML, etc.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce infrastructure, intra/internet applications, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Product management or product marketing experience is a plus.
