Technical Support Specialist

Overview:
Looking for energetic qualified Computer science Graduate with detailed, technically skilled and exceptional individuals to join our team. You should have a extensive set of skills, that comprises detailed know how of Windows operating systems, Networks, software, hardware, good command on Microsoft Office with aptitude to furnish customer queries regarding Office suite, superb approach for trouble shooting software / hardware issues. The candidate is expected to have Excellent Communication skills (Verbal & non verbal) in English language.

Position:
The company seeks an organized, detail oriented Technical Support Specialist., at a high level. This role demands the incumbent to have an advanced understanding of communications and network applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist end-users in identifying and solving problems related to computers, hardware, software, and other related items.
  • Serve as a second level advisor, providing front line telephone support for customers with complex issues and provide resolution, or escalate to the appropriate specialist or management personnel.
  • Investigate end-user problems to determine source of the issue
  • Excellent knowledge of software / hardware along with operating systems in order to provide level 2 support
  • Be at ease while handling queries for VPN / Exchange Server.
  • Preparing, maintaining and submitting job-related documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

Key Performance Requirements:

  • Must be detailed oriented in regards to troubleshooting Operating systems, Softwares, Hardware, DSL, Cable, Dial up, etc.
  • Must possess superior Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Access and Project).
  • Be able to illustrate expansively on experience to arrange and achieve goals
  • Capability and expertise to multitask in high pressure environment.
  • Experience in handling irate customers and meeting SLA’s.
  • Must be willing to work night shift
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in the Technical Support role in Internet Service providing or a multinational organization.

Personal Attributes:

  • Written and oral communication should to be at the highest level – from a technical and business perspective.
  • Should be able to prepare high end documentation for customers
  • Should be diligent, creative, with “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to perform effectively under stressful conditions such as directional changes, tight deadlines, limited resources, etc.

Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences

Technical Knowledge:

  • Requires sufficient knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, workflow processes, and procedures to resolve many inquires independently.
  • Strong Technical methodology skills and exposure to common issues that crop up on Local Area Network / operating systems.
  • Required knowledge of and experience with Dial up, DSL, Cable, with ability to trouble shoot their common problems.
  • Knowledge of intra/internet applications, LAN / WAN.
